OUR STORY

It started with 13 teenagers.
No big plan. No funding. Just a belief that dance in Stockholm could be something more — and a group of young dancers willing to train hard enough to prove it.
In 2017, that group won Sweden's Best Dance School.
That's when Gravity started becoming what it is today.

Built from the ground up.
Before Gravity had a studio, it had a hunger.
Co-founders Mantas and Elin spent years travelling — to Los Angeles, across Europe, wherever the best teachers and the most alive rooms were. They trained obsessively. Paid attention to what made certain studios feel different: the openness, the respect for the craft, the diversity of styles and voices, the way a room could make a stranger feel at home.
Then they came back to Sweden and built it here.
Not a replica of somewhere else. Something of their own — shaped by everything they'd absorbed, grounded in street culture, and built around the people who showed up.

What Gravity is now.
Nine years on, Gravity is a full dance studio in Solna Business Park — two studios, a lounge, and a storefront right by the tvärbana station. A place where students train seriously, teachers grow, and the room energy is part of what makes it work.
International guest teachers come through almost every month. The schedule covers hip hop, heels, feminine dance, popping, choreography, contemporary, dancehall, and house. Classes are taught in English — because the community here has always been bigger than one language.
Today, teachers and agents from around the world reach out to Gravity. We're not looking outward anymore — the world is looking at us. Gravity has put Scandinavia on the global dance map, and that's not something any other studio in Stockholm can say.
Several of the teachers on our team started as students at Gravity. That's not incidental. It's the point.

what we stand for
Self-expression.
Every dancer has a voice. We're here to help you find it.
Individuality.
We don't make dancers fit a mould. We create space for people to be distinctly themselves.
Authenticity.
The styles we teach have roots and culture behind them. We take that seriously.
Community.
The people in the room are part of the training. We build that intentionally.
Inspiration.
We stay connected to what's happening in dance globally — so you don't have to travel as far as we did to find it.
