Who Is This For?

Popping classes at Gravity are for anyone who wants to understand the style properly — from the ground up. Beginners get a real foundation

Dancers with some experience go deeper into mechanics, rhythm, and expression. Popping is also one of the most valuable styles to have as a background for choreography — it adds texture, contrast, and layers that very few styles can match.

Classes are taught by Sean and Hampus.

SEAN

Sean comes from the battle scene and it shows in how he teaches popping. His focus is boogaloo: the groove, the control, the detail that makes movement look alive. He breaks things down precisely, drills them properly, and expects you to find your own feel within the structure.

He and Hampus are both part of Snow Motion."Be ready to challenge yourself in how you make the blueprint yours."

HAMPUS

Hampus is genuinely geeky about popping. The details, the textures, the techniques that make movement look animated or robotic. He loves breaking it all down, and that shows in how he teaches. Expect a lot of fun, and real progress if you show up consistently. He travels to the US regularly to learn from the source and is active in the global popping community. That connection runs through everything he brings to class. "Popping is a good way to improve your body control, musicality, and isolations. All skills that will help you in any style you do. And it's really fun, especially if you want to get nerdy with it."

What is Popping?

Popping is a technical street style built around muscle contractions — hits — timed to music and combined with isolations, groove, and body mechanics. It comes from the funk movement of California and has its own deep culture, vocabulary, and technique that takes real time to develop properly. It looks deceptively simple. It isn't.
